Why L-SYS?

14 CFR Part 23 Amendments 64+ provide a unique opportunity for technologies such as electric and hybrid-electric propulsion, electronic flight control systems, electric braking systems, novel types of energy storage systems and hydrogen fuel cell systems and digital safety systems for autonomous and semi-autonomous aircraft. We have relationships with certification authorities and a vast network of equipment suppliers such as Hover, Inc, Astronics and Crane Aerospace for those searching for affordable Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) based certifiable system architectures.

Low Size Weight and Power (SWaP) radars and electro-optical/ infra red sensors and novel collision avoidance algorithms provide for more capable detect and avoid systems. We are leading the introduction of these systems onto multiple small and large platforms operating within the National Airspace System (NAS).

We have selectively applied model based approaches to projects and executed industry standards e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, DO-297 (for IMAs), ARP4754B and ARP4761A reducing cost and schedule versus similar legacy projects. We have held pivotal roles in the design, development and certification of a variety of safety critical systems. We are the leaders in system safety assessment approaches for novel aircraft types and have completed this type of analysis for several eVTOL aircraft manufacturers and manufacturers of electric and hybrid-electric powertrains.
